The Antago Yachts shipyard began as a small, artisanal business in the Italian luxury yachting sector. Its history is intertwined with that of Sebastiano "Gianni" Gravagno, an entrepreneur with a passion for boats and a professional with extensive experience in the international nautical sector.
Antago Yachts was founded in the early 1990s and is based in Viareggio, one of Italy's leading nautical centers. The shipyard specializes in the construction of luxury motor cruisers with mainly in the 18 to 35 meter range.
Antago yacht models stood out for their elegant lines and high-quality construction, the result of collaboration with internationally renowned naval architects: the first models were designed by Florentine architect Luca Dini, while production and technical development were handled by Fulvio De Simoni, a well-known Italian designer with a strong international profile.
This combination of Italian style and craftsmanship resulted in refined yachts, with attention to aesthetics, performance, and interior design—aspects that made Antago a recognizable name in the luxury motor yacht segment.
During its initial phase of operation, Antago built around 85 boats, some of which are still popular and active today. The models produced ranged in size and configuration, with yachts such as the Antago 62 or the larger Antago 90 (also known as Dea One), built in 2003 and still of interest in the nautical marke.
Supported by its visionary founder, Sebastiano (Gianni) Gravagno, the renowned Antago motor yachts, icons of the 1990s and early 2000s, with 85 masterpieces built, many of which still sail the seas today, are making a grand comeback.
Gianni has an impressive career behind him and has collaborated with major shipyards in both Italy and the United States, so you can count on his superlative shipbuilding expertise!
**What's innovative and of great interest to today's market is the concept that, while the style and design are decidedly Italian, our goal is to collaborate with a US shipyard and build in the United States.
This hybrid build keeps the Italian style while offering American standard build and components for easy maintenance.
